I love to do two things, as you know one is photography and the other is kayaking on Sydney Harbour as often as I can. No matter what time of year it is it’s always the right time to go kayaking with Jeff Treloar and the crew of Kayak Fitness!
They kayak 5 days a week starting at 6.30am Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri and 9.30am Tues and 7am Saturday. And if you’re a beginner it’s best to start on the Monday class.
The cost is $30 with kayak , paddle and life vest provided and you get to start off the day the best way possible by kayaking out of the southern end of Balmoral on the best harbour in the world!
Depending on all things weather with wind and tide the one hour course varies accordingly.It could be around Middle Head or over to Grotto Point or around to Chinamens Beach or Clontarf or over to Nielsens Bay.
And there’s plenty of stops on the way with beach training and yoga to do.
It’s a fantastic group of guys and girls that kayak , very easy going and welcoming to all newcomers. Kayaking is great for mind ,body and soul.
Low impact , great upper body work out, stress free as all your worries go away and getting back to nature.You get to see dolphins and seals and in Winter the sun coming up.
I’ve been kayaking for over ten years now and have always loved it.
It’s a good addiction to have!
Kayak Fitness often do trips away north and south on the East Coast and an annual trip away overseas. So far they have been to France river kayaking, Fiji and Samoa and Greece island hopping.These trips are very popular and reasonably priced.
